As part of our marketing campaign, we had created a TV commercial for our product. However, the commercial was present as a skit and as such, we do not have the material to post on this blog. Therefore, we shall include a short transcript of the skit.


Setting : In the middle of a Middle East dessert
Characters : A thirsty traveler in desperate need for water.
A mysterious Middle Eastern man selling a bottle of water.
Story : The thirsty traveler is struggling along the dessert and he comes upon the mysterious Middle Eastern man selling the precious bottle of water. The traveler offers to pay for the water with US dollars, British Pounds, Japanese Yen and Euro. However, all his offers were rejected by the mysterious man. Finally, the traveler pulls out a Citi Islamic Credit Card and the mysterious man smiles and gives the traveler the water. The two shake hands and all is well.
Objective : The objective was to show the religious aspect of the card and therefore, we placed the setting in a dessert with a traditionally dressed Muslim man. The second objective was to emphasize that the card is acceptable all over the world. Therefore, the exaggeration with the dessert was used.
